The purpose of the Novant Health Pharmacy Internship program is to provide second year pharmacy students with an opportunity to experience various aspects of pharmacy services in a large health system environment. By participating in important clinical and operational services, students will develop critical skills that will support professional development and overall pharmacy leadership. Students that successfully complete the program will be positioned to excel during advanced pharmacy practice experience rotations in acute care, ambulatory care and community pharmacy spaces. Furthermore, motivated students will gain a competitive advantage for post-graduate selection in a pharmacy residency program.
During the program, pharmacy interns will interact with various pharmacists and leaders across the organization to gain exposure to pharmacy practice in a large hospital, health system. Additionally, interns will gain insight on special topics in pharmacy management and leadership and have a chance to shadow pharmacists in unique practice settings such as infusion and specialty pharmacy services.

Eligibility Requirements
|
Active enrollment in an ACPE accredited School or College of Pharmacy
|
Completion of 2nd year curriculum at an accredited school/college of pharmacy
|
Minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale on pharmacy school coursework
|
Able to complete 400 hours during the summer and availability to fulfill the potential two year commitment
|

Pharmacy technician (CPhT certification and/or NC BOP registration
