Pharmacy internship

Careers Pharmacy internship

The Novant Health Pharmacy internship program offers second-year pharmacy students opportunities to experience pharmacy services in a large healthcare system. The training provided can help students develop critical skills that support professional development and pharmacy leadership. Interns who complete the program will be well-positioned to excel during advanced pharmacy practice rotations in acute care, ambulatory care and community pharmacy spaces. Participants can also gain invaluable experiences that increase marketability for post-graduate selection in a pharmacy residency program.

During the program, interns interact with pharmacists to provide direct patient care each day. Pharmacy interns will also gain insights into pharmacy management by participating with administrative leaders on collaborative projects or departmental initiatives. Interested pharmacy interns will have the potential to complete mini rotations with experienced pharmacists in unique settings such as infusion centers and specialty pharmacy clinics.
