Train with an industry leader improving care delivery
Residents who want to practice family medicine using the latest care delivery models will want to consider Novant Health's dually accredited (ACGME and AOA) residency program. The Novant Health Family Medicine Residency Program and our patient-centered curriculum started developing practitioners who are committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for all members of the family in July 2016.
Residents of our program complete three years of extensive training in the north Charlotte area, with rotations in community clinics as well as Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center, Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center and Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital, three of our acute care facilities. In many instances, residents learn how we provide care differently.
Novant Health, well-known in healthcare as an industry leader, is pioneering population health with coordinated care key to the model's success. Our residents are part of an integrated team (including other providers, as well as support team of nurses, pharmacists, social workers, dietitians, health coaches and referral coordinators) that partners with patients to encourage wellness and preventive care while also managing existing conditions to slow or reverse the progression of disease. This is truly an opportunity to see how the practice of family medicine is changing to meet the needs of the patient and the community.
We look forward to preparing and inspiring tomorrow's residents to thrive in today's changing healthcare environment. Become part of the Novant Health family and the greater Charlotte community, and let us make a difference in your medical training.
