Medical coverage and dependents
Team members covering a spouse in their medical plan must re-verify that the spouse does not have access to other employer provided medical insurance. Reverification of spousal eligibility for Novant Health medical coverage may be completed by submitting an electronic affidavit on the benefits enrollment page in self-service. Novant Health reserves the right to conduct periodic audits of an enrolled spouse's eligibility.
Team member's enrolling a spouse and/or eligible dependent children not previously enrolled in the medical plan will be required to upload documentation that satisfactorily establishes their eligibility to be covered in the medical plan using self-service no later than November 30, 2022. Failure to do so will result in your dependent not having Novant Health medical coverage in 2023, and the next opportunity to enroll them will be 2024 unless there is a mid-year IRS qualifying event.
