About open enrollment

If you do not make changes during open enrollment, your current elections — with three exceptions — will automatically roll over to 2021:

In order to participate in a flexible spending account, team members MUST re-enroll in it for 2021.

To continue medical coverage for a spouse, you must re-verify your spouse will not be eligible for employer-sponsored group medical coverage in 2021 by completing the electronic affidavit in the benefits enrollment page in self-service.

If you were defaulted to the short-term disability (STD) 30-day plan and want to change to the STD 15-day plan or opt out of coverage, you will need to make the change in self-service.

How to enroll

Step 1: From the I-Connect Homepage, select:
Tools and Services > Team member services > Self service (PeopleSoft)

Step 2: Enter your User ID (6-digit employee ID number)

Step 3: Enter password (Previously created in Password Management)

Step 4: The Employee Service page opens. Under Main Menu, select: Self Service > Benefits > Benefits enrollment

Step 1: From the website, select "for employees" at the top of the page or "team member connections" at the bottom of the page.

Step 2: Under Remote access, select Self service (PeopleSoft). The Novant Health PeopleSoft Portal screen appears. You will need to sign in on two login screens.

Step 3: At the first login screen, enter:

  • User ID: six-digit employee ID (e.g. 123456)
  • Password: your password created in Password Management
  • Server: Select Novant Health PeopleSoft

Step 4: At the second login screen, enter:

  • User ID: six-digit employee ID (e.g. 123456)
  • Password: your password created in Password Management

Step 5: PeopleSoft service page opens. Under Main Menu, select Self service > Benefits > Benefits enrollment

2021 Benefit highlights

Caregiver leave
Beginning in 2021, benefits-eligible team members may use one week of paid leave to care for a parent, spouse or child under age 18, experiencing a serious health condition as defined by the Family and Medical Leave Act.

The Tier 1 network for durable medical equipment (DME), home health and sleep services for Bind and Cigna has expanded. Bind has expanded its list of medical procedures subject to treatment-specific pricing.

MetLife Legal
A new voluntary benefit combines legal services with comprehensive credit and identity theft monitoring and $1 million of identity theft expense reimbursement.

Earn $75 (7,500 points) for Cigna participants and 7,500 points for Bind participants in the well-being program by registering for WellDyne's secure text platform.
