In 2019, Novant Health launched the Novant Heath Institute of Innovation & Artificial Intelligence (AI), which uses AI to enhance personalized patient care. The institute focuses on the advanced technologies required to provide highly personalized care and accelerated solutions with actionable data and insights for preventive prediction, diagnosis and treatment to Novant Health’s patients.

Novant Health, a nationally recognized leader in stroke care, has partnered with to bring the first U.S. Food & Drug Administration-cleared computer-aided triage system to the Carolinas. Novant Health has deployed this applied artificial intelligence-based technology throughout the system, building on its commitment to provide access to the most advanced stroke care. Novant Health is the first in the Carolinas to partner with to bring its award-winning software that utilizes artificial intelligence to analyze images for suspected large vessel occlusion (LVO) strokes.

Digital health and engagement division

Novant Health has launched a digital health and engagement business division to lead the strategy and implementation of omni-channel digital solutions and develop a comprehensive digital health care delivery platform. The platform connects a person’s entire healthcare journey and delivers a personalized experience through a comprehensive virtual venue of care.

Virtual Reality Services

Novant Health now offers virtual reality for patients and employees. Delivered through a unique partnership between Digital Health and Engagement, and the Innovation Lab, the VR program blends immersive, ocular technologies with our leading clinical providers and staff to deliver a cutting-edge digital health solution. The virtual reality program at Novant Health helps increase patient satisfaction when delivering care, improve outcomes for team members, and makes care more innovative, immersive, and readily accessible.
