Nationally Recognized Care

Novant Health hospitals earn top honors for emergency patient care quality and service. We consistently earn recognition from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association with “Get with the Guidelines” and “Life Mission: Lifeline NSTEMI Gold Quality” achievement awards.

The awards recognize a hospital’s commitment and success in giving patients the most appropriate treatment for stroke and heart failure according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines built on the latest scientific evidence.

Trauma-level designations

All Novant Health emergency rooms are equipped to care for you or your loved ones who may experience traumatic injury. Two of our emergency rooms have achieved the Level II Trauma Center designations by the American College of Surgeons.

Emergency room trauma designations mean you will have specially trained clinical teams and advanced equipment to treat any injury or trauma that occurs. Having a network of emergency rooms in the Novant Health system guarantees you receive the appropriate level of care and decreases the possibility of surges or strains on any one facility in our system.

Committed care for heart attacks and strokes

Heart attacks and strokes are leading causes of death and long-term disability. Our emergency rooms are nationally recognized by the American Heart Association, which credits Novant Health with consistently exceeding national benchmarks for heart attack and stroke care. We also use the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence, to save lives and improve recovery.
