One of the best ways to rate healthcare quality is through data collected by independent sources. Our hospitals voluntarily participate in programs to measure our performance and compare with other hospitals throughout the nation.

The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) publish the results of several patient quality measures at hospitals across the U.S., including these key areas in which Novant hospitals participate.

The Appropriate Care Measure (ACM) is a patient-centered composite score that captures whether or not a patient received all of the recommended treatments they were eligible to receive, based on their specific condition.
