Improving Access to Quality Care
| Novant Health exists to improve the health of communities, one person at a time. We accomplish our mission by providing excellent healthcare facilities, physician practices and clinical services, and by reaching out into our neighborhoods. |
Our 26,000 employees and physician partners are working to transform healthcare for the people we serve:
- Presbyterian Hospital offers the Community Care Cruiser mobile clinic that provides primary and preventive care to underserved children in Charlotte and the surrounding area.
- Brunswick Community Hospital and the Brunswick Public Health Department are working together to expand pediatric and maternity services in the county.
- Today's Woman Health and Wellness Center was established by Forsyth Medical Center to address premature births in a high-risk population. Today the center provides primary and pediatric care under a social empowerment model to improve the health of women and children in several neighborhoods of Winston-Salem.
- Thomasville Medical Center donates healthcare resources and support for Davidson Medical Ministries, a free clinic helping the uninsured and other people struggling financially in Davidson County.
- Rowan Regional Medical Center is partnering with Food Lion and the Rowan County School System to offer an adolescent obesity program in local elementary schools.
