ChoiceHealth and its Credentialing Program have received special recognition and certification for quality from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). ChoiceHealth is a Novant Health company and part of our system's Business Development & Sales Division.

ChoiceHealth offers services and programs targeted primarily to independent physicians. Examples of these services include group purchasing of supplies and services, managed care contracting with insurance companies, and credentialing. By offering these services, ChoiceHealth becomes a valued partner with independent physicians who may not have access to this type of business expertise and resources. ChoiceHealth's credentialing program is also utilized by Novant Medical Group practices.

ChoiceHealth is one of only two companies in North Carolina to become nationally certified as a Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO) through NCQA and the only provider-sponsored company in the state. In addition, NCQA has certified only 54 CVO's in the United States. The CVO certification process and rigorous onsite evaluation serve as a recognized stamp of approval and verification that ChoiceHealth provides high quality credentialing of physicians and other providers for participation in managed care plans.
