Novant Health Names Caldwell to Board of Trustees
WINSTON-SALEM, NC Novant Health, the not-for-profit parent organization of Forsyth Medical Center and its affiliates, has named Lisa J. Caldwell to serve on the Novant Health Board of Trustees. Caldwell is vice president of human resources for Reynolds American, Inc. in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
"We are very pleased to have Lisa join our board," says Novant Health President and CEO Paul Wiles. "Her career in both the legal and human resource fields brings a wealth of experience to our board of trustees." Caldwell joined Reynolds Tobacco in 1991 as manager of employment practices. In 1996, Caldwell was promoted to director of human resources, where she managed various human resources programs prior to becoming vice president of human resources in January 2002. Before joining Reynolds Tobacco, Caldwell worked as an attorney with the law firms of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice and West & Banks, both of Winston-Salem. A Wake Forest Law Scholar, Caldwell earned a J.D. degree from Wake University School of Law. She was also a Morehead Scholar and earned a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Caldwell is a member of several community organizations, including the Winston-Salem State University Foundation Board of Directors, the Community Board of Directors for RBC Centura Bank and the Morehead Scholarship Selection Committee. She previously served on the board of directors of Allegacy Federal Credit Union; Allegacy Investment Group; The Friends of the Library (University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill); Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina, Inc.; the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Northwest North Carolina; the Center of Excellence in Research, Teaching & Learning; and the University of North Carolina General Alumni Association. |
