Volunteering and help for the uninsured
Novant Health providers and facilities regularly reach out to their communities to benefit at-risk and disadvantaged populations. Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center provides community education and screenings and supports health clinics that provide care for the uninsured. In addition, facilities and staff members are active in various community partnerships that benefit organizations like United Way, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Physicians Reach Out, Habitat for Humanity and many others.
Also, our health system and staff provide free and discounted care to the uninsured of our local communities. As a not-for-profit hospital, Kernersville Medical Center is committed to providing outstanding healthcare to all members of our community, regardless of their ability to pay. Kernersville Medical Center provides free care to uninsured patients with incomes of up to 300 percent of the federal poverty level, with 100 percent write-off.
