With help, you can get better and enjoy motherhood to the fullest
When you become a mother, everything changes. The birth of your baby can trigger many complex emotions, from joy to fear to anxiety. Postpartum depression is a biochemical illness that you cannot prevent; however, you can take steps to get better.
We know that your family is your number one priority and, to take care of them, you have to take care of yourself.
What is depression?
A depressive disorder is a whole-body illness, involving the body, mood, and thoughts, and affects the way a person eats and sleeps, feels about herself, and thinks about things. It is not the same as being unhappy or in a "blue mood". Nor is it a sign of personal weakness or a condition that can be willed or wished away. People with a depressive illness cannot merely "pull themselves together" and get better.
