Can I benefit from supportive care?
While anyone with a serious illness can benefit from supportive care, there are certain diagnoses for which it can be especially helpful. Learn more.
Where is supportive care offered?
If you are hospitalized due to serious illness, you may receive a supportive care consultation before you are discharged, which will help you better understand your illness and make informed decisions about your care.
We also coordinate care with services outside the hospital, such as home care, nursing homes or – if appropriate – hospice.
Some of our facilities offer specialty outpatient clinics for heart and cancer patients. Learn more about these programs in Winston-Salem.
