Comparing our cardiac care with national benchmarks
The American College of Cardiology’s CathPCI registry is a national, risk-adjusted, outcomes-based quality improvement program under the auspices of the National Cardiovascular Data Registry. The registry is recognized by The Joint Commission and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and is used by more than 60 percent of our nation’s cardiac cauterization labs.
The registry measures outcomes of patients undergoing diagnostic cauterizations and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs). By participating in the CathPCI Registry, Novant Health hospitals and cath labs can measure performance in diagnosing and treating patients against similar comparison groups and national benchmarks.
