Novant Health Partners with Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital


Novant Health announced today a shared services agreement with Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC that is designed to improve access to quality healthcare, facilitate operational best practice sharing, and improve the affordability of care. Hugh Chatham will partner with Novant Health’s Greater Winston-Salem Market and shared services team to bring the Novant Health promise to the residents of Surry, Yadkin, and Wilkes counties, as well as surrounding areas.

Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital is a private not-for-profit hospital with 81 acute beds, 127 long term care beds, and twelve inpatient rehab beds, and owns and operates Yadkin Valley Home Health and Parkwood Place retirement community. It is located 40 miles west of Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. 

Each organization will remain independent, retaining their local ownership, management and governance.

Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, founded in 1931, is located in Elkin, North Carolina and is a private not-for-profit hospital with 81 acute beds, 127 long term care beds, and twelve inpatient rehab beds, and owns and operates Yadkin Valley Home Health and Parkwood Place retirement community. Hugh Chatham Memorial is located 40 miles west of Novant Medical Center Forsyth Medical Center and 60 miles north of Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center.
