Partnership with the Allegro Foundation -
Each Tuesday, The Allegro Foundation teaches free classes to children with disabilities at the Novant Health Rehabilitation Center (125 Baldwin Ave., Suite 100) from 5:30 to 6 p.m. The Allegro Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that combines movement instruction with medical and educational expertise to create new techniques to teach children with disabilities and to enhance their quality of life. They are a champion for children with disabilities, teaching children with intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, orthopedic challenges, Spina bifida, Autism, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, muscular dystrophy, visual and hearing impairment, children “at-risk” and children with cancer. Through the classes, students learn to count, develop problem-solving skills and improve their fine and gross motor skills, and they increase their creativity and self-esteem.
Registration is required for class participation. For more information or to register your child, please visit allegrofoundation.net or contact Graylyn Jennings: 704-412-5229 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
