Diagnostic imaging services
Heathcote Health Center provides numerous diagnostic imaging services including:
CT scan - A
computerized tomography (CT) scan creates cross-sectional images (“slices”) that reveal your bones and
organs with a high degree of precision.
DEXA scan - A bone density assessment used to screen for weakening of bones that could lead to osteoporosis. The test can help determine fracture risk, determine treatment options or monitor the outcomes of treatments already underway.
MRI - Magnetic
resonance imaging (MRI) uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to create detailed images of the organs
and structures inside of the body.
PET / CT - Positron
emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) scanning are combined to help our doctors see many of your
organs to diagnose a variety of diseases including cancer, heart disease, epilepsy and Alzheimer’s
Ultrasound and Doppler
ultrasound - A safe and effective diagnostic tool that uses reflected sound waves to examine
many different parts of your body.
X-rays - Uses small doses of radiation to produce pictures that help diagnose tumors or bone injuries. X-rays can be used with contrast mediums to examine other tissues.

Breast tomosynthesis - Is the latest technology in mammography; also called 3-D mammography.
Breast MRI - Magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI, may be recommended for women with more than a 20-percent lifetime risk of breast cancer, women with a history of significant radiation exposure to the chest wall, and patients with a new diagnosis of breast cancer in one breast.
