If you are age 18 or older and wish to volunteer on a regular basis, please contact us. You can volunteer to serve at any of several locations, performing a variety of interesting tasks, working in the emergency department or comfort rounds to inpatient rooms, helping with clerical duties, guest services and assisting in our gift or thrift shop. In addition to regular assignments volunteers can also assist in fund raising events such as annual bazaars, jewelry sales and the Circle of Lights memorial service through our program Helping Hands.
All adult applicants need to attend one of the informational meetings and will receive an application at that time. Informational meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. (Exception: There will be no informational meetings held in December).
Note: All informational sessions are held at:
Novant Health Prince William Medical Center
8700 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20110
Volunteer programs are organized for college students age 18 to age 25 who are enrolled in an undergraduate program and for teens age 16 to age 18 (the teen program is only available at Prince William Medical Center in Manassas).
Our college volunteer program gives students an opportunity to learn about healthcare by assisting staff, visitors, and patients with non-medical tasks. Volunteers must be able to follow directions, accept supervision, comply with the rules, exhibit interest and enthusiasm and work independently. If you are interested in serving in a healthcare setting and feel you can meet our expectations, we invite you to apply. College students should apply as adults.
For complete information and application materials, please call us at 703-369-8173 or learn more about volunteering at Prince WIlliam Medical Center.
