Diagnostic imaging enables us to create images of your body and its organs and other internal structures using external radiation and other advanced technology. We use a variety of imaging to help diagnose a wide range of possible conditions.

  • Bone densitometry - Also known as dual-energy X-ray absorption (DEXA), is a painless test to help your doctor determine how healthy your bones are. Call 864-487-1616 to schedule a screening.

  • CT scan - A computerized tomography (CT) scan creates cross-sectional images (“slices”) that reveal your bones and organs with a high degree of precision.

  • Fluoroscopy - Uses real-time X-rays to evaluate bodily functions, including the upper and lower tracts of your gastrointestinal system.

  • Intravenous pyelography - Intravenous pyelography (IVP), also called intravenous urography, uses X-rays to produce pictures of the kidneys, bladder, ureters and urethra.

  • MRI - Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to create detailed images of the organs and structures inside of the body.

  • Nuclear medicine - Enables our doctors to use a small amount of radioactive material, either ingested or injected into your body, to examine your organs and diagnose a variety of diseases and disorders.

  • Ultrasound and Doppler ultrasound - A safe and effective diagnostic tool using reflected sound waves to examine many different parts of your body. Doppler technology measures the speed and direction of blood flow through your blood vessels, to look for clots, blockage or narrowing that may be caused by plaque, and tumors or other malformations of the blood vessel.

  • X-ray - Uses small doses of radiation to produce pictures that help diagnose tumors or bone injuries.

  • Wellness screenings - By monitoring your health over time, your doctor can learn more information about your health and detect signs of disease at their earliest – and most treatable – stages.

Women's services
