The facility is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Our team members are committed to excellence and are constantly working to stay on the leading edge of rehabilitation techniques and technology.

We specialize in helping patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, amputations, spinal cord injury and other complex medical, neurological and orthopedic conditions. Each year, our team cares for about 1,000 patients in our inpatient program, with 96% showing improvement in functional independence from admission to discharge.

Our facilities

In addition to basic therapies to help patients regain independence, our inpatient center also houses several specialty rehab clinics. For patients who need assistive technology, the North Carolina Assistive Technology Project offers services on-site and can work with patients who need special devices to help with daily living needs. Additional services include our wheelchair clinic and low-vision clinics. We also have a driving clinic, which is a safe place to have elderly or injured individuals tested when motor skills, reflexes, mental or visual abilities have become impaired.

An exciting recent addition to the Novant Health Rehabilitation Center is the Lowes Foods Life Learning Lab, a simulated grocery store where physical and occupational therapists can help you return to some of the activities of daily life. Dietitians also use the lab for patient education about healthy eating habits, reading food labels and identifying which foods are best for you.

We know that the convenience of our services is important to your ongoing treatment and recovery. Outpatient rehabilitation and physical therapy are offered at Novant Health Rehabilitation Center and at Novant Health Martinat Outpatient Rehabilitation Centers in:
