National recognition means patients have easy access to quality care

2012 Conquer Cancer Foundation Clinical Trials Participation Award Recipient

The Novant Health Derrick L. Davis Cancer Center was one of six cancer centers nationwide, and the only center in North Carolina, to earn an award for its work in improving access to clinical trials. Awarded by the Conquer Cancer Foundation of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the award recognizes practices that have established high-quality clinical cancer research programs.

The Conquer Cancer Foundation selects practices based on several factors including patient accrual rates, accrual of minority and underrepresented populations, and innovative techniques in overcoming barriers to participation in clinical trials.
