Novant's Diversity Vision Statement

Several groups help the organization constantly advance this vision.
The Corporate Diversity Council is responsible for coordinating Novant's overall initiative. The Council reviews major strategies and proposes and recommends significant policy changes to the health system's executive leadership. The role of the Corporate Diversity Council is to consult, generate ideas, serve as a resource and help each hospital, clinic and department succeed in their diversity initiative.
Local Diversity Committees work with each facility to develop its initiative and diversity plan within a defined structure inclusive of customer relations, workforce/employee involvement, communications, education and training, supplier diversity, community partnerships and work/family life.
The Diversity Facilitators comprise individuals who have been trained to deliver diversity education to Novant Health employees. The facilitators review diversity training information and offer input regarding course materials.
