Novant Medical Group (NMG), a network that includes more than 1,000 physicians and more than 1,400 providers in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, now has 32 practices that have been designated by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Patient-Centered Medical Home. This designation signifies that the practice has met a set of NCQA national standards established to improve health through the coordinated management of patient care.

Novant Health President to Retire; Board of Trustees Names Successor

"The board of trustees of Novant Health announced today that its longtime president and chief executive officer, Paul M. Wiles, will retire at the end of 2011. The board also announced that Carl S. Armato, currently the organization's senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been named to succeed Wiles. Armato will assume his new role on January 1, 2012.
