Capitalizing on the unique talents and strengths each person brings to the organization. "Novant Health will accelerate and sustain the remarkable patient experience by leveraging diversity and inclusion."
Several groups help the organization consistently advance this vision.
The Executive Diversity Council (EDC) is chaired by the CEO. The EDC champions and drives diversity and inclusion to accelerate and sustain the remarkable patient experience.
The System Diversity Council (SDC) is responsible for coordinating Novant Health's overall diversity and inclusion process. The Council reviews major strategies and proposes and recommends significant policy changes to the Executive Diversity Council (EDC). The role of the SDC is to consult, generate ideas, and serve as a liaison between the EDC and Functional Diversity Action Committees (DAC) and the Business Resouce Groups (BRGs).
Functional Diversity Action Committee (DAC): A six-pronged approach to diversity that support a diverse customer base and a World Class Organization. The Functional DACs serve as think tanks to help the entire health care system leverage diversity to achieve Novant Health care mission and to promote health equity and an organization that treats all our stakeholders with dignity and respect. They guide and coordinate diversity strategy across functions to ensure activities are aligned with business strategy, objectives and priorities.
Business Resource Groups (BRGs): The Business Resource Groups (BRGs) are employee driven. They serve as resources to the Functional DACs. They assist Novant Health to be the provider of choice and to sustain a welcoming environment that supports diversity and inclusion of people from various backgrounds.
